The FANTASTIC FOUR's return to theaters will be slightly delayed, Fox announced today.

According to Deadline, the studio's planned reboot of the Marvel franchise has been bumped from its original March 6, 2015 release to June 19. Produced by Matthew Vaughn, the film will be directed by Josh Trank, and features a reworked script by Simon Kinberg.

According to Deadline, Michael B. Jordan, who drew attention for his starring role in FRUITVALE STATION, is "likely" to play 'The Human Torch,' aka Johnny Storm. In addition, GAME OF THRONES' Kit Harington, Jack O'Connell, and Miles Teller are the frontrunners to play Reed Richards, while Kate Mara, Saoirse Ronan, and Margot Robbie are being considered for Sue Storm. No names were included on who might take on the role of 'The Thing.'

Sources confirmed earlier this year that the reboot is approaching the Fantastic Four in a more grounded way, taking the route of Christopher Nolan's BATMAN films. The impending reboot is also said to explore the mythology and lore of the acclaimed comic series.

As per Marvel, "The Fantastic Four is an internationally-renowned group of superhuman champions (often dubbed the world's premiere super hero team or The First Family of super heroes) based in New York City and dedicated to the betterment of the world through scientific discovery and defense against evil."

The Fantastic Four are long-time hot Marvel commodities. FOX has developed two films based upon them, including 2005's FANTASTIC FOUR and 2007's FANTASTIC 4: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER. The films starred Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans, and Michael Chicklis.
