Fox Network Picks Up Pilot From COUGAR TOWN Creator Bill Lawrence

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Fox network has picked up a pilot from COUGAR TOWN creator Bill Lawrence to develop for its upcoming season.

'Like Father' is set to be a single-camera comedy inspired by Lawrence's real-life relationship with his father. The writer will also serve as director and executive producer of the project from Warner Brothers. 

In additon to 'Like Father', the CBS network has given the greenlight to another comedy from Lawrence set in a workplace environment. Lawrence will develop that project along with 'How I Met Your Mother's executive producer Greg Malins. 

COUGAR TOWN is scheduled to return to ABC's midseason lineup on February 14th. It will be replacing the recently cancelled series 'Work It'.
