PEOPLE reports that following additional allegations from women who have stepped forward alleging that they were sexually assaulted by comedian Bill Bosby, Netflix has decided to postone an upcoming stand-up comedy special starring the 77-year-old star.
In an official statement released yesterday evening, the network announced: "At this time we are postponing the launch of the new stand-up comedy special Bill Cosby 77." The Hollywood Reporter reports that Cosby's publicist has revealed it was a mutual decision. According to the description of the special, Cosby was to share "intimate and wildly entertaining stories from his childhood, first loves, and the endless adventure of parenthood." The special was shot at the San Francisco Jazz Center and was supposed to show Cosby "at the top of his craft."Allegations of sexual misconduct were first revealed by comedian HANNIBAL Buress, who called the 'Cosby Show' star a rapist during a routine. Since that time several other women have come forward to reveal that they too were victims of Mr. Cosby, including former model Janice Dickinson, who shared with ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT that she was drugged and raped by Cosby more than 30 years ago.
