Disney Channel has revealed the first official trailer for their highly anticipated series GIRL MEETS WORLD, starring Peyton Meyer as Lucas Friar, August Maturo as Auggie Matthews, Ben Savage as Cory Matthews, Rowan Blanchard as Riley Matthews, Danielle Fishel as Topanga Matthews, Sabrina Carpenter as Maya Hart and Corey Fogelmanis as Shamus Farkle. Set in New York City, GIRL MEETS
WORLD is a follow-up to the popular 1990's sitcom and catches up on original characters Cory and Topanga Matthews ten years later and parents of a young daughter, Riley.
Danielle Fishel shared her excitement about the new series on her blog, posting, "When the news leaked that Girl Meets
WORLD was in the making, literally days after I first heard about the project myself, Michael Jacobs and I had a conversation and we talked about how we were both so blown away by the reactions from all of you."
The multicam sitcom is from It's A Laugh Productions and "Boy Meets World" creators Michael Jacobs and April Kelly, who also serve as executive producers of the new series.
