First Look: Premiere of the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' Trailer

Marvel is bringing the people another superhero team in the form of the 'Guardians of the Galaxy'. While not having the same name recognition of the Avengers, Marvel seems to be banking on the fact that it doesn't matter if you know them or not, you'll love them just the same. The full trailer made its debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live and already have over one million views on Youtube.

"Guardians of the Galaxy" follows Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), a half-alien child of the 80s who comes into possession of a powerful blue orb and then quickly lands in a space prison. There he meets with his future teammates: the deadly Gamora (Zoe Saldana), the vengeful Drax (Dave Bautista), the gun-toting raccoon Rocket (Bradley Cooper) and the sentient tree Groot (Vin Diesel). The five of them break out together and travel the universe, all the while avoiding the powerful Ronan (Lee) and Nebula (Karen Gillan) who are after the orb for their own reasons.

The August 1 release stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, Benicio del Toro, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close, Gregg Henry, Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel.
