As previously reported by BroadwayWorld, 1980s popstar and KINKY BOOTS composer Cyndi Lauper accepted a guest starring role on Fran Drescher's TV Land sitcom HAPPILY DIVORCED earlier this fall. The first image of Lauper and Drescher as two old friends has just been released.
Lauper guests on the upcoming Dec. 26 episode "Follow the Leader," in which Fran encourages an old friend, Kiki (Lauper), to re-ignite the passion in her relationship.
"Happily Divorced" is inspired by Fran Drescher's real life. It revolves around an LA florist who finds out after 18 years of marriage that her husband is gay.
