Featuring the first-ever Live "American Idol" broadcast across the country, ABC shot to the top of Sunday night, doubling its nearest competition in Adults 18-49 (+100% - 1.4/6 vs. 0.7/3 - CBS and NBC tied).

Driven by "Idol" as the night's dominant No. 1 TV show, ABC's Sunday prime-time performance spiked over the year-ago night with an all-original schedule by 83% in Total Viewers (6.4 million vs. 3.5 million) and by 75% in Adults 18-49 (1.4/6 vs. 0.8/3).

"American Idol" FAST NATIONAL RATINGS (8:00-10:01 p.m. - 8.7 million and 1.9 in AD18-49):
ABC's "American Idol" won its 2-hour slot and grew by double digits for the 2nd week in a row with Total Viewers (+16% - 8.7 million vs. 7.5 million) and Adults 18-49 (+27% - 1.9 rating vs. 1.5/6), hitting best-since-premiere numbers on the night - since 3/11/18.

Outdelivering both editions of NBC's "The Voice" on Monday (1.5/6) and Tuesday (1.6/7), as well as CBS' "Survivor" on Wednesday (1.6/7), ABC's "American Idol-SUN" (1.9/7) finished as the week's No. 1 unscripted series in Adults 18-49.

For the first time this season, ABC's "American Idol" surpassed 1 million engagements with a total of 1.3 million engagements across social media, including an astounding 1 million total engagements across Instagram.

For its 8th straight Sunday broadcast, "Idol" improved its 2-hour time period by enormous margins, topping the same night last year with "Once Upon a Time" and "Match Game" by 172% in Total Viewers (8.7 million vs. 3.2 million) and by 111% in Adults 18-49 (0.9 rating vs. 0.9/3). On average season to date, "American Idol" is producing ABC's best numbers in the 2-hour time period in 4 years with Total Viewers and in 3 years with Adults 18-49 - since the comparable 8 weeks of 2014 and 2015, respectively.

"Deception" (10:00-11:00 p.m. - 3.7 million and 0.8/3 in AD18-49):
In the 10 o'clock hour, ABC's "Deception" won its time period with Adults 18-49 (0.8/3), besting CBS' "Madam Secretary" by 33% (0.6/2) and NBC's "Timeless" by 33% (0.6/2). The new ABC drama jumped week to week by 16% in Total Viewers and by 33% in Adults 18-49 to 4-week highs - since 4/1/18.
