Film music industry veterans Ian Hierons, Seth Kaplan and Christine Russell today announced the official launch of Score Revolution, the platform that is unlocking the film music marketplace. Score Revolution is a unique online platform that connects film music rights holders with the full scope of music licensing customers worldwide, including advertisers, brands, filmmakers, film trailer houses, music supervisors and other media licensing professionals.

Score Revolution's unique business model provides film music owners with the opportunity to monetize their music assets while keeping full ownership of their rights. The platform has already attracted leading Worldwide entertainment companies Studio Canal, Lionsgate, Lakeshore, Constantin Film, Cattleya and Voltage, as well as many other companies and composers.

"The global music licensing market is valued at $2.5 billion and is growing rapidly," said Ian Hierons, Score Revolution co-founder and CEO. "Score Revolution provides a unique opportunity for music owners to gain access to a vibrant market that they wouldn't Otherwise be able to reach. We partner with rights holders to connect them with commercial opportunities while they maintain the full ownership value of their masters and copyrights."

Score Revolution's expertly curated catalog currently boasts more than 10,000 tracks and is growing quickly as more rights holders join the platform. The catalog ranges from previously inaccessible international scores to scores for major box office hits, and currently includes film music from many award-winning composers including Hans Zimmer, Alexandre Desplat, James Horner, Rolfe Kent, Jerry Goldsmith, John Barry, John Debney, Gustavo Santaolalla, Zbigniew Preisner, Maurice Jarre, Mychael Danna, Harry Gregson-Williams, Christopher Young, John Swihart, Alex Heffes, and Abel Korzeniowski.

Media professionals can search the catalog using keywords and specially designed filter tools, as well as two innovative engines that use music to find music: Explore Search -- which uses acoustic analysis to find similar tracks within the Score catalog, and Upload Search -- which allows the user to upload their own track to find similar tracks in the Score catalog using the same acoustic algorithm. Upload and Explore incorporate a revolutionary acoustic analysis technique developed and built in partnership with Danish technology firm Syntonetic, whose MoodAgent app is used on smartphones and music sites worldwide, including Spotify.

Score Revolution Co-Founder Seth Kaplan explains, "We've created a platform to showcase the world's most consistently brilliant and relevant instrumental music in a format that makes finding it a pleasure and licensing it easy. We also have a great support team backing up the site, able to assist subscribers and suggest high quality scores relevant to their projects."

The company builds on its founders' extensive experience in the film music industry. Hierons was previously the senior vice president of acquisitions for Milan Records where he successfully distributed soundtrack albums for numerous commercially and critically successful films including "Pan's Labyrinth," "Mulholland Drive," "The Queen" and "City of God." Kaplan and Russell are the founding principals of Evolution Music Partners, a leading talent agency that represents film composers and other media music creatives. Notable agency projects include the films "Promised Land," the upcoming "Bling Ring," and remake of "The Evil Dead", "The Rite," "The Dictator," "Beginners," "A Single Man," "The Last King of Scotland," "Zodiac," "Lost in Translation," "Friday Night Lights" and the "Saw" franchise; television projects include "Revenge," "Dexter," "Justified," "Futurama," "Shameless," "Boss," and "Two Broke Girls."
