On January 31, 2015, the eyes of the world will be on Las Vegas, as former middleweight champion and future Hall of Famer Anderson "The Spider" Silva makes his return to the Octagon to do battle with one of the most dangerous strikers in the sport, former STRIKEFORCE welterweight champion Nick Diaz, in the main event of UFC 183. Fathom Events and the UFC are set to bring all the pulse-pounding Octagon action of UFC 183: SILVA vs. DIAZ to movie theaters nationwide on January 31 at 10:00 p.m. ET / 9:00 p.m. CT / 8:00 p.m. MT / 7:00 p.m. PT, broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Tickets to watch UFC 183: SILVA vs. DIAZ on the big screen are available at participating theater box offices and at www.FathomEvents.com. The event will be presented in more than 360 select movie theaters around the country through Fathom's Digital Broadcast Network. For a complete list of theater locations, visit the Fathom Events website (theaters and participants are subject to change).

The co-main event of the evening will see a battle of hard-hitting welterweights as undefeated Kelvin Gastelum (11-0) looks to remain perfect in the Octagon when he squares off against another highly-regarded 170-pounder, Tyron Woodley (14-3).

Other bouts for UFC 183 include:

  • Lightweights Joe Lauzon (24-9, fighting out of Bridgewater, MA) and Al Iaquinta (10-3-1, fighting out of Wantagh, NY) will face off in the most high-profile fight of The Ultimate Fighter finalist Iaquinta's career.
  • Currently riding a four-fight win streak, eleventh-ranked middleweight Thales Leites (24-4, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) takes on No. 14 Tim Boetsch (18-7, fighting out of Sunbury, Pa.).
  • Also, No. 13 Jordan Mein (29-9, fighting out of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada) will meet former title challenger Thiago Alves (25-9, fighting out of Coconut Creek, Fla.). • In the prelims, two of the best women's bantamweight fighters on the planet, second-ranked Miesha Tate (15-5, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nev.) and No. 3 Sara McMann (8-1, fighting out of Gaffney, S.C.), are set to clash in a battle that will bring the winner of them one step closer to a rematch with world champion Ronda Rousey.
