Fat Cat Pictures Launches Kickstarter for Documentary HEADSHOT: ONE MODEL, TEN PHOTOGRAPHERS

Nikki McFarling, founder of Fat Cat Pictures Inc., has recently launched a Kickstarter to raise funds for her upcoming documentary "Headshot: One Model, Ten Photographers."

The documentary features ten photographers while they photograph the same model and includes interviews with the photographers & the model. There will be a 45-minute documentary short, a full-length 100-minute documentary, plus a web series. After the Kickstarter reaches its goal, filming for the documentary will start in May 2013 and end July 2013. Filming will be taking place in Los Angeles, California. The documentary focuses on the passion, creativity, talents and skills of photographers who work with models and people.

The Kickstarter is located at HeadshotKickstarter.info and anyone can make pledges to receive rewards for contributing towards creating this first of its kind concept. No other project has been done using multiple photographers capturing one subject. Each photographer is unique and has a story to tell. They have varied experiences ranging from a hearing impairment to a former model to a high-profile celebrity photographer. The 45-minute documentary short will be donated to photography education programs in secondary and post-secondary schools. The goal is to raise awareness of the field of photography as a career choice. The full-length documentary will be submitted to film festivals with the goal of national distribution.
