According to Deadline, Famke Janssen has just sealed her deal to rejoin Liam Neeson and Maggie Grace in the third installment of the TAKEN franchise for EuropaCorp and 20th Century Fox.
In TAKEN 2, Neeson returned as Bryan Mills, the retired CIA agent with a particular set of skills who stopped at nothing to save his daughter Kim from Albanian kidnappers. When the father of one of the kidnappers swears revenge and takes Bryan and his wife hostage during their family vacation in Istanbul, Bryan enlists Kim to help them escape, and uses the same advanced level of special forces tactics to get his family to safety and systematically take out the kidnappers one by one.
Since the first film in the franchise debuted in 2008, the series has gone on to gross over $600 million worldwide.
As of now, no director or writer are attached to TAKEN 3.
Janssen's upcoming projects include The Being Experience and A Fighting Man. She recently appeared in The Wolverine and in the Netflix series Hemlock Grove, as well as Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Taken 2 and the TV series Nip/Tuck.
