Superhero franchise frequent player Famke Janssen discusses her pivotal role of Jean Grey in the X-MEN and WOLVERINE films as well as remarks on her starry assortment of co-stars, old and new - Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence and Michael Fassbender included - in a thoughtful and classy new interview.
Janssen reveals, "I think that the X-MEN series is a really successful one in constantly finding new and additional characters, or younger versions of the same characters to explore." Which is certainly something the actress is well aware of given her participation in the franchise so far.
"Of course the X-MEN as a comic book has so many characters that filmmakers can explore. I like what they're doing. I think that they've always chosen really fine actors," the accomplished actress asserts.
"With X-MEN: FIRST CLASS you had Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and James McAvoy so it's amazing the kind of actors they keep getting for these. It's a classy series so I'm proud to be a part of it," Janssen says.
Yet, will she participate in the new X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, helmed by Bryan Singer? No news yet!
Fans will get the chance to see her reprise her role of Jean Grey in the X-MEN spin-off THE WOLVERINE, starring Hugh Jackman, coming later this Summer.
"I couldn't tell you," she coyly states. "It's a flashback sequence, but that's all I can say. You'll just have to wait until July!"
July can't come soon enough!
