FYI Channel Unveils July's Primetime Lineup

FYI will debut with a Primetime lineup of seven new series in July. The announcement was made today by Jana Bennett, President of FYI and LMN.

"Reflecting FYI's mission of inspiring personal creativity across all aspects of viewers' lives, the network will premiere with an authentic slate of series that embrace FYI's adventurous, personalized and non-prescriptive approach to programming," says Jana Bennett, President of FYI and LMN. "Viewers will see a taste of everything FYI has to offer with a range of stories and experiences that reflect how people actually live their lives today, not defined by just one passion or interest."

FYI's Primetime lineup for July includes the following original series:

"Married at First Sight"
10 one-hour episodes and a one-hour casting special / Premieres Tuesday, July 8 at 9pm ET
Based on the hit Danish format, "Married at First Sight" is an extreme social experiment following six brave souls who are yearning for a life-long partnership as they agree to a provocative proposal: getting legally Married the moment they first meet. Four specialists - sexologist, Dr. Logan Levkoff; spiritualist, Greg Epstein; psychologist, Dr. Joseph Cilona; and sociologist, Dr. Pepper Schwartz - will create what they believe are three perfect couples, based on scientific matchmaking. The couples will never meet or know each other until they walk down the aisle and see each other face to face, for the first time, when they get married. Each episode of "Married at First Sight" will follow the classic lifestyle stories of newlyweds - from the honeymoon to early nesting to other relatable events of Married life. After several weeks together, each couple must make a decision: do they remain together or decide to separate? Produced for FYI by Kinetic Content. "Rowhouse Showdown"
10 one-hour episodes / Premieres Wednesday, July 9 at 9pm ET
"Rowhouse Showdown" features renovation expert, Carter Oosterhouse, leading three teams as they battle it out to transform dilapidated homes in Cincinnati, Ohio. Taking on the rundown houses in a distressed neighborhood, the teams will renovate one home each - while also living together - in a bid to raise the property value of the community surrounding them. The team that increases the appeal of their home to the max goes home with the grand prize of $50,000 and their home renovation will be featured in Dwell magazine. Designer, Kathy Kuo; Cincinnati-based house flipper, Jim Bronzie; and Dwell's Editor in Chief, Amanda Dameron judge the team's renovations. Carter Oosterhouse hosts. "Tiny House Nation"

In "Tiny House Nation," renovation experts and hosts, John Weisbarth and Zack Giffin, travel across America to show off ingenious small spaces and the inventive people who live in them, as well as help new families design and construct their own mini-dream home in a space no larger than 300 square feet. From a micro-apartment in New York City to a caboose car turned home in Montana to a micro-sized mobile home for road tripping - this is a series that celebrates the exploding movement of tiny homes. From pricey to budget friendly, "Tiny House Nation" is not a typical design show, but one that proves size doesn't always matter - it's creativity that counts. Produced for FYI by Loud TV. "World Food Championships"

Hosted in Las Vegas, The World Food Championships is one of the most ambitious and authentic food competitions held annually. This series follows talented home cooks and professional chefs from across America as they compete to create dishes mouth-wateringly creative enough to win their food category. From BBQ, to bacon to family recipes - there is a winner for each competition, culminating in a grand finale with a shot at winning a $50,000 prize. Three unique and distinctly opinionated hosts - culinary expert Gail Simmons; superstar chef Marcus Samuelsson; and comedian and food writer Max Silvestri - anchor a rollicking adventure into the world of cooking, food trends and food culture in America. From edible fireworks to beef jerky business cards to the next big food mash-up, they don't just talk about what's happening right now in the food world; they get their hands dirty and challenge each other to push food culture forward. "B.O.R.N. to Style" is a lifestyle makeover series centered on a "fierce" team from New York, and their larger than life boss,Jonathan Bodrick. Springing from the Harlem-based eclectic boutique, B.O.R.N. (borrowed, old, refurbished and new), the style Superheroes land at the door of those desperately in need of some "color in their lives." By rifling through their client's belongings and asking blunt questions, the team at B.O.R.N. gets to the root of their fashion malaise, before whisking them away for a transformation that goes beyond just their look. In each episode, viewers will see them offer up their own brand of therapy and inspiration to clients as they transform them into their best possible selves. Produced for FYI by Left/Right.
