FX will be airing Emmy award-winner Louis C.K.'s next standup special.
John Landgraf, FX CEO, announced at the Television Critics Association press tour on Sunday that LOUIS C.K. LIVE FROM THE COMEDY STORE will air this spring. The hour-long special, written and directed by C.K. is under executive producers C.K. and M. Blair Breard, with Pig Newton (C.K.'s production company) producing.
Additionally, it will first be posted to the comedian's website, LouisCK.net for fans to view prior to air, following a sold-out run at Madison Square Garden. LIVE AT THE COMEDY STORE is C.K.'s sixth hour-long special. One of his previous specials, LOUIS C.K.: LIVE AT THE BEACON THEATRE ared in May 2012 on FX and earned C.K. his first Emmy.
Season five of LOUIE, C.K.'s show, is set to air on FX on April 9 at 10:30pm. It will run for eight episodes.
Louis C.K. is a Mexican American comedian, editor, writer, producer, director, and actor.
He is the creator, star, writer, director, and (until February 2012) editor of the highly acclaimed FX comedy series Louie. C.K. is noteworthy for innovating direct-to-fan sales of tickets to his stand-up shows and DRM-free video concert downloads via his website. Over the course of his career, he has been nominated for 30 Primetime Emmy Awards, winning writing awards for The Chris Rock Show, LOUIE and his stand-up specials Live at the Beacon Theater (2011) and Oh My God (2013).
