As predicted, the soundtrack to Disney's Oscar-winning animated film FROZEN remained at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 for an eighth week. According to Billboard.com, the news marks the longest run atop the list since Adele's "21" finished up a 24-week run at No. 1 in 2012.
Since 1991, "Frozen" is only the 20th album to remain at No. 1 for eight weeks or more. "21" holds the record for the longest reign, followed by Whitney Houston's "The Bodyguard" soundtrack (20 weeks at No. 1) and Garth Brooks' "Ropin' the Wind" (18 weeks at No. 1).
In total, "Frozen" has sold a whopping 1.8 million copies, with 1.5 million of those sold in 2014, making it the biggest-selling album of this year.About Disney's Frozen: Walt Disney Animation Studios, the studio behind "Tangled" and "Wreck-It Ralph," presents "Frozen," a stunning big-screen comedyadventure.
