FROZEN Freezes Out 'PARANORMAL ACTIVITY' at Weekend Box Office

In its fifth weekend at the box office, Disney's latest animtated feature, FROZEN, iced out the competition, claiming the top spot with $20.7 million, pushing the film to the $300 million mark.
Walt Disney Pictures' FROZEN features the voices of Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff, Santino Fontana and Alan Tudyk and original songs from Tony winner Robert Lopez ("The Book of Mormon," "Avenue Q") and Kristen Anderson-Lopez ("In Transit," "Winnie the Pooh"), and an original score by Christophe Beck ("The Muppets," Oscar-winning short "Paperman").
In the big-screen comedy adventure FROZEN, fearless optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) sets off on an Epic journey--teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) and his loyal reindeer Sven--to find her sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter.Paramount's latest 'PARANORMAL ACTIVITY' took second with $18.2 million, while Peter Jackson's 'THE HOBBIT' held strong with $16.2 million, bumping its domestic total to just over $229.6 million.
THE WOLF OF WALL STREET, Martin Scorsese's latest, took fourth with $13.4 million, and David O. Russell's all-star drama AMERICAN HUSTLE rounded out the top five with $13.2 million.
