The soundtrack to Disney's FROZEN contines to set records as it returns to No. 1 on the Billboard 200, earning its fifth nonconsecutive week atop the list. The album has now spent the most weeks at No. 1 for a soundtrack since "Titanic" which remained as No. 1 for 16 straight weeks in 1998.
The soundtrack, featuring performances by Broadway's Idina Menzel, Josh Gad and Jonathan Groff features original songs by the Academy Award nominated team of Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez (Avenue Q, Book of Mormon.) The hit song 'Let It Go,' is up for an Oscar at this Sunday's awards show. Idina Menzel will perform the song live at the event.
About Disney's Frozen:
Walt Disney Animation Studios, the studio behind "Tangled" and "Wreck-It Ralph," presents "Frozen," a stunning big-screen comedyadventure. Fearless optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) sets off on an epic journey-teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) and his loyal reindeer Sven-to find her sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter.
Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom.
