FOX Business Network's VARNEY & COMPANY Scores First Weekly Win Over CNBC

FOX Business Network's (FBN) Varney & Company hosted by Stuart Varney beat CNBC for the week with 33,000 viewers in the key A25-54 demo vs. CNBC's 32,000 according to Nielsen Media Research. This is the first time ever the 9am-12pm/ET program topped rival CNBC's SQUAWK ON THE STREET (9am-11am/ET) and SQUAWK ALLEY (11am-12pm/ET) for a week. In total viewers, Varney came within 20 percent of CNBC, earning 171,000 viewers for the three hour block to CNBC's 214,000. Additionally, Deirdre Bolton's Risk & Reward (5pm/ET) scored its first weekly win over CNBC's FAST MONEY in the demo averaging 24,000 viewers to their 21,000.

Meanwhile FBN's LOU DOBBS TONIGHT (7PM/ET) recorded its seventh consecutive win over their rival business network with 228,000 total viewers, a 90 percent advantage over CNBC's The Profit, which averaged 120,000.

Overall, FBN's Business Day (9:30am-5pm/ET) narrowed the gap with CNBC to just 15 percent in the demo, marking the smallest margin the network has ever had with its competition. In total viewers, FBN averaged 126,000, which was just 33 percent shy of CNBC's 189,000.
