Fox Business Network (FBN) delivered its highest rated month ever this January in both total viewers and the advertiser friendly demo of adults aged 25-54, according to Nielsen Media Research. With every program across FBN's schedule achieving record highs, the network's Total Day and Business Day hours also saw their best month ever in both total viewers and the demo. In addition, FBN's 7PM/ET program Lou Dobbs Tonight, hosted by Lou Dobbs, swept rival CNBC in total viewers.

The network's strong performance was led by FBN's second presidential debate. Moderated by Neil Cavuto and Maria Bartiromo, the event took place on January 14th and scored 11 million total viewers and 3 million in the demo from 9-11PM/ET. The debate was the highest rated cable program of the evening and had the highest viewer-engagement level on television for the week, according to the Rentrak Stickiness Index. Additionally, the 6PM/ET debate, moderated by FBN's Sandra Smith and Trish Regan pulled in 2 million total viewers, making it one of the network's top programs ever.

Pre-market shows FBN:AM (5-6AM/ET) and Mornings with Maria (6-9AM/ET) both had their highest rated months ever in total viewers, with Bartiromo seeing a 19 percent gain in total viewers and a 25 percent gain in the demo from December. Additionally, all market-hour programs scored their highest rated month ever with Stuart Varney's Varney & Co (9AM-12PM/ET) delivering 159,000 total viewers and Neil Cavuto's CAVUTO: Coast to Coast (12-2PM/ET) had 117,000. FBN's Trish Regan posted 106,000 total viewers with her show The Intelligence Report (2PM/ET), while Liz Claman's Countdown to the Closing Bell (3PM/ET) was another top performer with 112,000 for the month. Combined, the anchors helped FBN see its best performing 9AM-4PM timeslot in network history, averaging 131,000 total viewers. Additionally, FBN ended the month with its first demo sweep over CNBC from 11AM-3PM on January 29th.

Ratings highs continued throughout FBN's post-market programs with David Asman and Melissa Francis' After the Bell (4PM/ET) averaging 107,000 total viewers. Risk & Reward with Deirdre Bolton (5PM/ET) and Making Money with Charles Payne (6PM/ET) also achieved their highest rated month ever across the board. Ratings stalwart Lou Dobbs delivered an impressive 229,000 total viewers for his show Lou Dobbs Tonight (7PM/ET), which topped rival CNBC for the month. Commentary shows Kennedy (M-Th 8-9PM/ET) hosted by Lisa "Kennedy" Montgomery and Stossel (Fridays, 8-9PM/ET), hosted by John Stossel, also delivered their highest rated month ever in total viewers and the demo. Additionally, FBN's reality show Strange Inheritance (9PM/ET) hosted by Jamie Colby also had its highest month ever in total viewers with 152,000.

FBN ended 2015 as the fastest growing cable network on television, and the momentum has continued through the start of 2016, with the network posting over 100 percent gains across the board in Total Day. Business Day is also up 22 percent in total viewers and 57 percent in the demo since the end of 2015.
