FEARnet to Present Broadcast Premiere of THE LAST EXORCISM, 4/7

FEARnet takes a look at some of the classic films horror fans grew up watching with the "After Ghoul Special"a three-film marathon featuring THE CANTERVILLE GHOST, THE WATCHER IN THE WOODS and SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES, on Thursday, April 25, at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT. Throughout this event, FEARnet will air exclusive interstitial content filmed at the Disney Archives in Burbank, CAguided by Becky Cline, director of the Disney Archivesgiving viewers a behind-the-scenes look at props and other rarely-seen items from the scary Disney films they love.

The content will also include a panel hosted by genre mainstay Ted Raimiwith BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER actress and author Amber Benson and Deadline Hollywood columnist Jen Yamatoas they discuss a variety of topics, touching on the '80s era of PG-13 horror; the dark undertones of fantasy; the popularity of genre-oriented theme park rides, such as The Haunted Mansion; and the not-so-subtle blend of horror that remains prevalent throughout most classic fairy tales and even many Disney movies, such as SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES and THE WATCHER IN THE WOODS.

THE CANTERVILLE GHOST opens the evening at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT, with Sir John Gielgud in the title role, as a cowardly specter searching for peace with the help of a descendant (Alyssa Milano). Next, it's the creepy favorite THE WATCHER IN THE WOODS at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT, starring Bette Davis, where two sisters (REAL HOUSEWIVES OF Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards, and Lynn-Holly Johnson) experience strange events linked to an occult past, after moving to a country home with their family. SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES closes the stunt, in this dark Disney film about a small town overtaken by a nefarious carnival; Jason Robards, Jonathan Pryce, Pam Grier and Diane Ladd star in this celebrated work from the mind of Ray Bradbury.

Also this month, FEARnet spotlights the only certain things in life with the "Death & Taxes" Sweepstakes. The night begins at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT with the original APRIL FOOL'S DAY, as Muffy St. John (Deborah Foreman) throws a party to die for in this 1986 slasher icon where nothing is as it seems. Then, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, the groundbreaking story gets an update in 2008's APRIL FOOL'S DAY, starring Rob Zombie alumni Scout Taylor-Compton, as a group of friends find themselves stalked by a killer on the anniversary of a fatal prank.

• Exorcism Mini-Marathon Sunday, April 7 (10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT)
  It's a wonderful day for an exorcism when FEARnet gets possessed by the Exorcism mini-marathon. BLACKWATER VALLEY EXORCISM sets the ritual in motion at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, as a troubled priest must save a young girl from the demon dwelling inside her in this thriller starring Jeffrey Combs. Then, at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT, it's the broadcast premiere of the acclaimed possession SMASH THE LAST EXORCISM, when a fraudulent exorcist attempts to expose the tricks of his trade, only to find that the devil may very well be in the details in this Chiller from producer Eli Roth.
• "Movie Meltdown" Marathon Thursday, April 11 (6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT)
  Murder and mystery are afoot in the wax museum with the "Movie Meltdown" marathon. WAXWORK kicks things off at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT, as a group of teensled by Zach Galliganfight some of history and cinema's greatest monsters. Then, Zach Galligan is back in WAXWORK II: LOST IN TIMEat 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, traveling through time to clear his girlfriend of a murder she did not commit. The '60s Cult classic NIGHTMARE IN WAX wraps up the night at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT, starring Cameron Mitchell as a disfigured special effects artist, taking Revenge on those who wronged him by turning them into wax figures.

  A blind woman (Jessica Alba) sees things a bit too clearly, when a routine eye transplant brings her face-to-face with the land of the dead in this American re-telling of the J-Horror hit.
• 'THE THING' (Network Premiere) Sunday, April 21 (8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT)
  Kurt Russell battles shape-shifting alien terror in the Arctic, in this effects-fueled '80s Masterpiece directed by horror master John Carpenter, with Wilford Brimley and Keith David.
