CBS News' FACE THE NATION is the #1 Sunday morning public affairs program in viewers television year-to-date, according to Nielsen most current ratings. Television year-to-date, FACE THE NATION is averaging 3.53 million viewers and 0.7/03 in adults 25-54. FACE THE NATION delivered 3.31 million viewers on Nov. 5 and 0.6/03 in adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. (Editor's Note: FACE THE NATION's second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 59.8% of the CBS affiliates.)
The Nov. 5 broadcast opened with an interview with Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA), followed by House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA). The political roundtable featured Slate and
CBS News political analyst Jamelle Bouie;
USA Today's Susan Page; National Review's Ramesh Ponnuru; and Wall Street Journal's Gerald Seib. Next, Dickerson interviewed Vanity Fair contributor Michael Lewis, followed by Pete Souza, former chief White House photographer and author of Obama: An Intimate Portrait.
