Eva Longoria has been cast as Dora's mother in Paramount's live-action DORA THE E movie, according to Variety.
The film stars Isabela Moner as the title character in the film which will be released on August 2, 2019.
The DORA THE EXPLORER film will follow Dora as a teenager moving to the city and dealing with high school. She finds herself leading Boots, and a rag tag group of teens on a Goonies-esque adventure to save her parents and solve the impossible mystery behind a lost Inca civilization.
Platinum Dunes partners Andrew Form and Brad Fuller are producing the movie, which is being developed through the studio's Paramount Players division. Nick Stoller is writing the script with James Bobin attached to direct.
Longoria could be most recently seen in the film DOG DAYS. She's also an executive producer for the new ABC drama series GRAND HOTEL. Longoria was also the executive producer on the Lifetime series DEVIOUS MAIDS and on the NBC comedy TELENOVELA.
