Eva Longoria Bastón will make her film directorial debut on workplace comedy "24-7," which she will star in alongside Kerry Washington, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Longoria Bastón, Washington, Paul Feig, and Jessie Henderson will produce.
Sarah Rothschild penned the script, which tells of a group of women accountants who band together against a group of male co-workers to solve a fraud case that will save their jobs. The movie will be not unlike 9 to 5, the classic 1980 female-centric workplace comedy starring Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin and Dolly Parton.
The directing move is a jump for Longoria Bastón, but she is well prepared. She has directed several episodes of television shows like Black-ish, Jane the Virgin, The Mick, LA to Vegas, Telenovela and the upcoming ABC series Grand Hotel. She just finished filming Paramount's live DORA THE EXPLORER film.
