E!'s Golden Globe Red Carpet Coverage Draws 2.2 Million Total Viewers

E!'s "Live From the Red Carpet: 2014 Golden Globes" telecast on Sunday, January 12 from 6:00pm-8:00pmET hit a ten year high, reaching over 2.2 Million Total Viewers to mark the network's best Golden Globes telecast since 2004. The performance scored the second most watched telecast in the "Live from the Red Carpet" Golden Globes HISTORY behind only 2001's pre-show (2.4 Million Total Viewers), matching the 2.2 Million record of both 2004 and 2002. Households were up +20% (1.83 vs. 1.52 rating), Adults 18-49 rose +10% year to year (1.1 Million vs. 961,000) and Women 18-49 gained +10% (805,000 vs. 731,000) with all of these measures also striking ten year highs - a best since 2004.

E!'s expanded two-hour "Countdown to the Red Carpet," airing 4:00pm-6:00pmET, was the most watched Golden Globes Countdown show for E! since 2001 in Total Viewers (+7%, YOY 658,000 vs. 615,000). It was also the best since 2004 in Households (+11%, YOY .61 rating vs. .55), Adults 18-49 (+23%, YOY 343,000 vs. 278,000) and Women 18-49 (+30% YOY, 275,000 vs. 212,000). The "E! After Party" also moved higher year to year in Total Viewers (+11%, 730,000 vs. 658,000), Households (+15%, .61 rating vs. .53), Adults 18-49 (+4%, 387,000 vs. 372,000), and Women 18-49 (+9%, 283,000 vs. 259,000).

Additionally, Eonline delivered a record-breaking Golden Globes day of event traffic performance across web, mobile (uniques and page views) and tweets, with double digit gains over the prior year. Total digital page views delivered +26% above last year (23 Million), while Eonline.com grew +45% (1.1 M) and mobile web +88% (888,000) in uniques. E!'s "Live from the Red Carpet" was the second most talked about program (excluding sports) on Twitter behind only NBC's 2014 Golden Globes itself, with over 59,000 mentions. Total tweets to E!'s event coverage was up +22% from last year (66,000).
