According to a report in Variety, Tony nominee Eric Stoltz will direct the movie "Racing Patriots," with a screenplay by Frederic Helmer.
The film tells the story of three Grand Prix champions who become part of the resistance movement during the Nazi occupation of France during World Warr II. Samuel Le Bihan is set to star in the movie, which will begin filming this winter on location in Europe. Stoltz received a Tony nomination for his performance in OUR TOWN. Other Broadway credits include THREE SISTERS, TWO SHAKSPEAREAN ACTROS, and ARMS AND THE MAN. His off-Broadway credits include THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST, THE GLASS MENAGERIE, and SLY FOX. He was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture for "Mask" and currently stars in the science fiction television series "Caprica."
