Emmys Move Back To Original Date Of 9/20

Variety reports that the Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony is switching back to its original Sept. 20th date. 

The TV Academy and CBS had moved the Emmys up one week, to Sept. 13th, so as not to conflict with an NFL doubleheader.

But the organizers didn't realize that the new date would conflict with the already scheduled MTV Music Video Awards. MTV was unable to move its show, so the TV Academy and CBS made the choice to move the Emmy ceremony back to Sept. 20th.

The decision to move the Emmys back to Sept. 20th now means that the Creative Arts Emmys, slated for Sept. 12th, will no longer have to share the same weekend with the Primetime event and will once again take place at the Nokia. To read the full article on the schedule change click here.
