According to Variety, actress Margot Kidder has passed away at the age of 69. She was most well known for her role opposite Christopher Reeve in the SUPERMAN films. Her publicist, Camilla Fluxman Pines, confirmed to Variety that Kidder passed away in her sleep. Read more about the news from Variety here
Kidder was also known for her roles in CRIME AND PUNISHMENT, QUACKSER FORTUNE HAS A COUSIN IN THE BRONX, THE AMITYVILLE HORROR, and R.L. STINE'S THE HAUNTING HOUR for which she won an Emmy in 2014.

Kidder suffered from bipolar disorder, and had a public breakdown back in 1996. In addition to being an esteemed actress, she was also an activist. She is succeeded by her daughter Maggie, and two grandchildren.
