According to Variety, Emma Watson and HARRY POTTER producer David Heyman are set to produce and star in THE QUEEN OF THE TEARLING franchise for Warner Bros. No director or writer has been announced.

The film series will be based on Erika Johansen's trilogy for Harper Collins, which is set for release beginning in 2014. The fantasy novels are set in a post-apocalyptic world ruled by a Red Queen.
Watson will next be seen in Sophia Coppola's The Bling Ring, Noah, and This Is the End. She last appeared onscreen in The Perks of Being a Wallflower and is well known for her role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter film franchise.
