As first reported on Deadline.com, Emma Stone will star in an upcoming feature film love story to be directed by Cameron Crowe. Crowe penned the currently untitled project which will be produced by Scott Rudin. According to the report, Sony Pictures has just closed a deal to buy the film which is described as having a tone "reminiscent of past Crowe films Almost Famous and Jerry Maguire."
Stone is just coming off the blockbuster hit 'The Amazing Spider-Man", co-starring her real-life boyfriend Andrew Garfield. She will soon be seen on the big screen again in 'Gangster Squad.' The actress made her feature film debut in the comedy Superbad (2007). She appeared in The House Bunny (2008) and Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (2009). She then starred in the horror-comedy Zombieland and the indie comedy Paper Man in 2009.
In 2010, Stone voiced the character Mazie in Marmaduke, and starred in the high school comedy Easy A, which earned her a nomination for a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy. In 2011, she starred in the films Crazy, Stupid, Love and The Help.
