According to Deadline, Emily Osment and Matt Shively are set to star in the new CBS comedy pilot "25". Also joining the cast are actresses Denée Benton and Jessie Ennis. The pilot is set to be directed by Chris Koch, and was written by Hilary Winston. Read more about it from Deadline here!
The new comedy centers around Shively's character, Kyle, who comes to town to start his software company. However, that happens to be a guise and the real reason he is there is to try and persuade Osment's character, Kate, that they are meant to be together. He has been in love with her since early days at a summer camp, but to his dismay, she is recently engaged. However, Kyle does not plan on giving up. Benton is set to play Kate's best friend and roommate, Morgan, and Ennis will portray their other mutual friend, Becca.
The new show is executive produced by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Chris Koch, Hilary Winston, and James Weaver.
Emily Osment is known for her roles on HANNAH MONTANA and YOUNG AND HUNGRY. Matt Shively can be seen in THE REAL O'NEALS. Denee Benton was a 2017 Tony nominee for her lead role in NATASHA, PIERRE AND THE GREAT COMET OF 1812 and can be seen on Lifetime's UNREAL. Jessie Ennis' credits include Netflix's LOVE, and HBO's hit VEEP.
