It was announced today that Emile Hirsch ("Into the Wild," "Lone Survivor," "Milk") and Zoë Kravitz ("X-Men: First Class," "Divergent," "Mad Max: Fury Road") have signed on to star in the action-crime drama "Vincent-N-Roxxy," which was developed and produced by Keith Kjarval's Unified Pictures. Gary Michael Schultz wrote the screenplay and will also direct the film.

"Vincent-N-Roxxy" is a story about a true love fighting to survive in a brutal and chaotic world. The film follows down-on-their-luck rebels Vincent (Emile Hirsch) and Roxxy (Zoë Kravitz) who fall in love and fall apart when their violent pasts catch up with them.

The film is being produced by Keith Kjarval, through his Unified Pictures production banner, in association with Media House Capital. Aaron L. Gilbert is executive producer.

International sales are being handled by Fortitude International, who will present the project to buyers at the upcoming American Film Market (AFM).

WME represent the film's domestic distribution rights.

Principal photography is scheduled to begin this December in Louisiana.

"'Vincent-N-Roxxy' is a very personal story for me and, at its core, it is a story about love, family, and the unrelenting presence of violence," said Schultz. "I am very inspired by the work of Emile and Zoë and cannot wait to tell this story with these remarkable artists."

Kjarval stated, "Gary has written a stunning portrait of love and violence, and frankly he has tapped into what America looks and feels like right now while also creating a timelessness. Adding powerhouses like Emile and Zoë only cements our belief that we are creating a classic."

Fortitude International, the sales and financing venture launched earlier this year by Nadine de Barros, Robert Ogden Barnum, and Daniel Wagner, is currently handling sales on "The End of the Tour" starring Jesse Eisenberg and Jason Segal, directed by James Ponsoldt, "Urge" starring Pierce Brosnan, Jeff Fahey and Ashley Greene, directed by Aaron Kaufman and "Daughter of God" starring Keanu Reeves and Ana de Armas, directed by Gee Malik Linton.

Unified Pictures recently wrapped principal photography in Vancouver for the dark comedy "The Driftless Area," which is directed by Zachary Sluser and stars Zooey Deschanel, Anton Yelchin, John Hawkes, Aubrey Plaza, Frank Langella, and Ciaran Hinds.

The company's most recent films includes William H. Macy's directorial debut "Rudderless," starring Billy Crudup, Anton Yelchin, Selena Gomez, Laurence Fishburne, and Felicity Huffman alongside Macy; and comedy drama "Loitering with Intent," starring Sam Rockwell, Marisa Tomei and Natasha Lyonne.

Unified Pictures' animation division just tapped one of Hollywood's most illustrious animators, Academy Award nominee John Stevenson ('Kung Fu Panda," "Shrek"), to direct the company's CG-animated feature "Noah's Ark," which is inspired by the classic tale, but tells the story from the point of view of the animals.

Emile Hirsch is repped by UTA. Zoë Kravitz is repped by Paradigm.
