Ed Sheeran to Play Himself in Danny Boyle's Next Film

Ed Sheeran will play himself in Danny Boyle's next film, according to The Associated Press.

The film stars Himesh Patel who plays a singer-songwriter who wakes up one day as the only person in the world who remembers the Beatles.

This will be Sheeran's first significant role on the big screen.Directed by his cousin Murray Cummings, the film includes a scene featuring Sheeran's fiancée Cherry Seaborn but doesn't delve into his personal life.

Sheeran filmed his part in the film earlier this year, during his most recent tour. The film, which is yet to be titled, is set to be released in September 2019.
