In addition, ESPN's prime-time doubleheader averaged a 2.3 rating, up 21 percent from a 1.9 in 2012, making it the highest-rated NBA Christmas Day prime-time doubleheader ever. The doubleheader was led by the Houston Rockets at San Antonio Spurs game, which scored a 2.4 overnight rating, an all-time best for an NBA Christmas Day game in a prime-time window.

In Los Angeles, the game scored a 4.7 rating, which is the fifth highest-rated NBA regular-season game on

The defending NBA Champion Miami Heat's victory over the Los Angeles Lakers delivered a 4.9 overnight rating, while the Oklahoma City Thunder's victory over the New York Knicks generated a 3.7.
