ESPN on Xbox One officially launches today with the release of Xbox One. The launch marks the debut of WatchESPN on the latest next generation gaming and entertainment console, allowing greater discoverability, ease of navigation and a personalized, interactive sports viewing experience for the best screen in your home.

Vice President, Games and Partnerships, ESPN. "Fans are increasingly multitasking their entertainment experience, and by creating immediate access to our content in an easily accessible and discoverable fashion is a great way to serve sports fans through the latest media technology available."
At launch,
ESPN on Xbox One features deeper personalization of live and on-demand content through a MyESPN account. Fans will be able to access favorite teams and sports instantly through the Favorites channel immediately after launching the app. Additionally, fans can browse through content via sport-specific video channels within the guide.
ESPN on Xbox One will also utilize the console's newest Snap Mode feature, allowing users to multitask by snapping video on-demand clips from ESPN.com onto the right side of the television screen. By way of this feature, users will be able to preview
ESPN video clips and easily enter into the
ESPN on Xbox One experience to view a specific clip that catches their attention in full screen. Coming soon, fans will be able to download an update to the app that will add real-time scores into Snap Mode.
Xbox LIVE Gold members who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider will have live access to ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN3,
ESPN Deportes, ESPNEWS and
ESPN Goal Line/Buzzer Beater through WatchESPN. Popular shows like SportsCenter, PTI, First Take, NFL Live, College GameDay, Mike & Mike in the Morning and others will be available in addition to live events from the NFL, NBA, MLB, college football, college basketball, soccer, tennis, golf and more. All Xbox LIVE Gold members will have access to ESPN.com video on-demand clips and the Snap Mode feature.
WatchESPN through
ESPN on Xbox One is the seventh platform to carry the authenticated networks service, which is also accessible online at WatchESPN.com, on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app, and through Xbox 360, Apple TV and Roku. It is available to 55 million households nationwide that receive ESPN's linear networks as part of their video subscription. Affiliated providers include AT&T U-verse(R) TV, Bright House Networks, Cablevision's Optimum TV, Charter, Comcast Xfinity TV, Cox, Google Fiber, Midcontinent Communications, Time Warner Cable, and Verizon FiOS TV (coming soon to NRTC members' customers).
