ESPN and ESPN DEPORTES will combine to present exclusive bilingual coverage of the 2016 INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONS CUP (ICC) beginning Friday, July 22 through Saturday, August 13. Matches will air live on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3 and ESPN Deportes. All ICC telecasts on ESPN networks will be streamed live on WatchESPN.
Jon Champion and Ian Darke (English), as well as Fernando Palomo (Spanish) will lead ESPN's match commentator teams of the international pre-season competition played across four continents - North America, Europe, Asia and Australia - between championship winning clubs.
Champion and Darke will be joined by Mark Donaldson, Steve Cangialosi, Adrian Healey and Glenn Davis. English-language analysts include former professional soccer player Stewart Robson, veteran soccer analyst Tommy Smyth, who has called over 3,000 international matches from leagues all over the world, Liverpool legend Steve Nicol, and Alejandro Moreno, Craig Burley, Shaka Hislop, Paul Mariner, Janusz Michallik and Taylor Twellman.
ESPN Deportes' play-by-play commentators and match analysts include Ricardo Ortiz, 1978 FIFA World Cup champion and golden boot winner Mario Kempes, former Mexican National Team player Tato Noriega, as well as Andres Agulla, Richard Mendez, Flavio Pereira, Alex Pareja, Barak Fever, Mauricio Pedroza and Robert Sierra.
