ESPN is expanding both its signature NFL pregame show and its premier fantasy football show to three hours this fall as part of a new Sunday morning fall programming lineup beginning September 10. SUNDAY NFL COUNTDOWN presented by Snickers will now air from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. ET on ESPN, while FANTASY FOOTBALL NOW will air simultaneously during the same three-hour block on ESPN2 to get football fans ready for the games on NFL Sundays.
Sunday mornings will also feature six hours of live SportsCenter, beginning 7-10 a.m. on
ESPN and continuing with another three-hour edition on
ESPNEWS from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. In addition,
ESPNU will re-air the one-hour
COLLEGE FOOTBALL FINAL three times beginning at 10 a.m., recapping the best
COLLEGE FOOTBALL highlights from Saturday's games.
"The Sunday morning lineup across our
ESPN networks during football season will offer compelling programming focused on the NFL, the previous day in
COLLEGE FOOTBALL and all the latest sports news of the day delivered by SportsCenter," said Burke Magnus,
ESPN executive vice president, programming and scheduling. "With the tremendous interest in the NFL, we are particularly excited to expand
SUNDAY NFL COUNTDOWN and
FANTASY FOOTBALL NOW to three hours, with each show offering a distinct pregame experience featuring our expert hosts, analysts and insiders."
Sunday NFL Countdown - which expands from two hours to three this fall - will feature a new main set. Samantha Ponder, who follows legendary broadcaster Chris Berman as the new Countdown host, will be joined by analysts Matt Hasselbeck, Randy Moss, Charles Woodson and newcomer Rex Ryan. The program will also feature ESPN's industry-leading NFL Insiders, including Adam Schefter, Chris Mortensen and Louis Riddick.
Fantasy Football Now - previously two hours - will now have an extra hour of tips, lineup suggestions, predictions and more with its team of experts, including Matthew Berry, Tim Hasselbeck, Stephania Bell and Field Yates. FFN will be preceded by ESPN's popular Sunday morning newsmagazine, E:60, which will air at 9 a.m. on
ESPN2 during the football season.
