ESPN Adds Three Key MLB Divisional Matchups to Week's Schedule

ESPN announced today that it has added three key divisional matchups including an MLB Postseason Impact Game telecasts presented by Exxon and Mobil, to the schedule for the week of September 26. These additions are part of the larger 12 games in 13 days (Sept. 18-30) schedule on ESPN leading into the MLB Postseason.

The Boston Red Sox and David Ortiz look to move closer to clinching the American League East in this MLB Postseason Impact Game when they travel to New York to take on the Yankees and Chase Headley on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. on ESPN2. The team of Karl Ravech, Eduardo Perez and Rick Sutcliffe will be calling the full national telecast.

The Sept. 28 edition of Wednesday Night Baseball presented by Hankook Tire will feature a doubleheader with the Detroit Tigers and Ian Kinsler hosting the AL Central-leading Cleveland Indians and Mike Napoli at 7 p.m. on ESPN. Jon Sciambi, Sutcliffe and Doug Glanville will have the call of the full national telecast.

The San Francisco Giants and Buster Posey, currently in the race for the National League Wild Card spot, host the Colorado Rockies and Carlos Gonzalez in the second matchup at 10 p.m. on ESPN. Adam Amin will provide play-by-play with analyst Aaron Boone. Retired pitcher Jeremy Affeldt, who played on all three Giants WORLD SERIES teams, will be in the booth as a guest analyst. The telecast will be blacked out in the San Francisco market.
