E! announced today that the network will integrate its "E! News" and digital divisions under the leadership of John Najarian, EVP, News and Digital for E! This combined operation will allow the network to align strategies and fuel continued growth for E! Online and flagship TV series "E! News." Bringing all content, social/interactive and product/operations together also enables the new group to more effectively LEVERAGE its strength in storytelling and news gathering, and provide a deeper, more engaging social and interactive "E! News" experience.
"Creating an integrated organization is an important step as we evolve the network's linear news strategy and multi-screen approach," said Najarian. "We are positioning the network to better serve entertainment and pop culture fans with an authentic, relevant, consistent voice throughout our news platforms."
As a result of this strategic shift, several key executives will take on expanded roles.
Additionally, Jennifer Lavin will continue to serve as Executive Producer of "E! News" managing the day to day production of the show.
"E! News" remains the top TV destination for breaking pop culture stories, reaching nearly 18 million total viewers each month. "E! News" resonates with its young adult audience and delivers an average viewer age that is nearly 20 years younger than its competitors.
E! Online dominates its competition with extraordinary growth and momentum, including a record-breaking Q4 with 39MM average monthly multiplatform uniques, up 79% year-over-year, according to comScore. Additionally, E! has 49MM fans/followers across social platforms, excluding talent accounts. The network's average reach in Q4 was 87MM across TV and digital.
