E! Expands Entertainment News Programming with Three Additional Hours on Weekdays

E! Expands Entertainment News Programming with Three Additional Hours on Weekdays  Image

E! announced today that the network will expand its signature entertainment news and commentary programming with three additional hours of original content every weekday, starting in early 2020. The expansion will build on the network's successful existing news franchises, including E! News, Daily Pop and Nightly Pop, as well as introduce a variety of new formats and personalities across three additional daytime hours.

News is the leading entertainment news source for millennial women, and we are excited to offer more hours dedicated to breaking news, trending stories, and edgy, comedic commentary."

Tammy Filler will join E! as EVP & Editor-In-Chief, E! News to lead creative development, production for current franchises and new formats under the E! News umbrella across all platforms. Most recently during her 16-year tenure at TODAY, Filler served as Executive Producer of the fourth hour and was responsible for all program content and staff management for the broadcast. Filler has also served as senior producer for TODAY, playing an integral role in day-to-day programming, as well as serving as Co-Executive Producer for the third and fourth hours. Previously, Filler held production roles at Banyan Productions and Oxygen Media. She began her career as a booking assistant and segment producer at ABC News' Good Morning America.

As EVP & Publisher, E! News and Digital, John Najarian will work closely with Filler as he oversees News' overall business and product expansion efforts, and operations. In addition, Najarian will now oversee the digital strategy for the broader E! network. Najarian has led the rapid and ongoing growth and success of E! News across all platforms, which ranks as the largest entertainment media brand on social media with over one billion engagements per month. Najarian also now serves as General Manager, NBCUniversal Digital Lab which has developed a variety of series across multiple networks, including hit Snapchat series What The Fashion and Face Forward for E!, as well as Premier League: Extra Time for NBC Sports, Diego Magic for Telemundo, and Geekly for SYFY.

Filler and Najarian both report to Adam Stotsky, President, E! in their oversight of E! News and Digital. Najarian also reports to Maggie McLean Suniewick, President, NBCUniversal Digital Enterprises in his General Manager role at the NBCUniversal Digital Lab.

E! News' current slate of television series includes:

E! News airs weeknights at 7pm ET/PT and is co-hosted by Giuliana Rancic and Jason Kennedy. The series features the biggest and most-talked about stories of the day in Pop culture and entertainment in a fast-paced, social and entertaining way that's tailored to a young, hyper-connected audience. E! News airs in more than 160 countries around the globe.

Daily Pop is a live daytime series hosted by Pop culture personalities Carissa Culiner, Morgan Stewart and Justin Sylvester. The one-hour show airing at 12pm ET/PT delivers fun, insightful and relatable conversations centered around the biggest, most fascinating Pop culture stories of the day.

E!'s topical late night talk series "Nightly Pop" is hosted by Morgan Stewart, Nina Parker and social influencer Hunter March. "Nightly Pop" airing Sundays at 10:30pm ET/PT and Mondays at 9:30pm ET/PT offers a candid breakdown of the most talked about entertainment news stories. This unfiltered Pop culture series delivers quick-witted, unexpected and relatable commentary.
