E! and Esquire Network have named David Gleason SVP, Research, it was announced today by Cyndi McClellan, President of Network Strategy and E! News. Gleason will oversee all research for the companies, spearheading efforts across all platforms, and will be responsible for research that affects all areas of their businesses, including on-air, consumer, ad sales, scheduling, acquisitions, development, new media and branding. Gleason joins E! and Esquire Network from OWN, where he served as SVP and head of research for the past three years and had oversight of all program, digital, consumer and brand research.
"Bringing someone with David's expertise onboard greatly enhances our ability to make the important decisions that affect our brands on a daily basis," said McClellan.
Prior to heading up Research for OWN, Gleason was SVP and Strategy Director at Publicis Worldwide, where he oversaw strategy for such international companies as Nestle Beverages and P & G Healthcare. Before that, he was Senior Partner, Channel Planning at Ogilvy & Mather.
In addition, Gleason spent more than seven years at
MTV Networks, where he worked across a portfolio of networks that included Nickelodeon, TV Land, and TNN. He was also a member of the executive team that launched Spike TV.
