WEDNESDAY NIGHT RIVALRY - RED WINGS-FLYERS AT 8 P.M. ET ON NBCSN
The Red Wings play their next four games on the road, beginning tomorrow night in Brooklyn against the New York Islanders. Detroit improved to 12-13-7 with a 3-1 victory over Toronto on Friday, scoring three consecutive goals to end their three-game losing streak. Through 32 games, Dylan Larkin leads the team in both points (24) and assists (19).
The Flyers (14-11-7) enter the week on a six-game winning streak with recent victories coming against Dallas, Buffalo and Toronto, respectively. With a win against Los Angeles this evening, Philadelphia can set the NHL record for the most consecutive victories (seven) immediately following a 10-game losing streak. Jakub Voracek currently leads the team with 40 points, including 10 points in the last six games.
Five-time Emmy Award winner Mike 'Doc' Emrick (play-by-play), U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame member Eddie Olczyk (analyst), and Emmy Award-winner Pierre McGuire ('Inside-the-Glass' analyst) will call Red Wings-Flyers from Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pa.
BRUINS-SABRES - TOMORROW AT 7:30 P.M. ET ON NBCSN
The Bruins (15-10-5) have won three of their last five games, including a 3-2 overtime victory against the Red Wings on last week's edition of Wednesday Night Rivalry. Boston plays four of the next five games at home, beginning tonight against Columbus (20-12-1). David Pastrnak currently leads the team in both goals (15) and points (30).
The Sabres (8-18-7) look to bounce back from three overtime losses in their last five games. Buffalo defeated Ottawa, 3-2, on Tuesday before losing consecutive games by one goal. The Sabres' tandem of Jack Eichel and Evander Kanehave combined for 59 points and 25 goals.
John Forslund (play-by-play) and Brian Boucher ('Inside-the-Glass' analyst) will have the call from KeyBank Center in Buffalo, N.Y.
