The ensemble cast of CBS' How I Met Your Mother spin-off continues to grow.
According to Deadline, former Upright Citizens Brigade member Drew Tarver will join Greta Gerwig in HOW I MET YOUR DAD, from Carter Bays, Craig Thomas, and Emily Spivey (Up All Night). Gerwig will play the project's lead, 'Sally,' described as a "female Peter Pan who has never grown up and has no idea of where she's going in life." She's thinking of calling it quits with her husband of a year, Gavin. She'll lean on her circle of friends for advice and support through the inevitable divorce."
Tarver will take on the role of "Todd, Sally's best friend and roommate from college who is now married to her brother."
In other 'DAD' news, former BUFFY and DOLLHOUSE star Eliza Dushku, confirmed last week that she's currently reading the pilot script. Should she nab a part, she would presumably play Sally's best friend, Juliet, a "sexy, flamboyant, energetic, party-girl...She runs a successful fashion blog. She's delighted to learn Sally is ending things with the terminally boring Gavin."
Tarver, who has significant improv training, has also guest starred on ANIMAL PRACTICE and NEWSREADERS.
