Donald Paul, Nick Viall and Pilar Holland Amongst Many New Guest Stars Coming To Network TV This Year Image

With the new year and new show seasons finally hitting our screens, television networks such as ABC and FOX are trying their hand at adding some new guest stars to some of your favorite programs to help bring-up viewership numbers and attract new fans.

The FOX Network has confirmed that "Ghostbusters" film series 71-year-old star actor Ernie Hudson is set to appear in a guest role in the network's top-rated "Lethal Weapon" series. As well, actress Pilar Holland ("Grey's Anatomy") will make an upcoming guest appearance on FOX's brand new Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchu created series "911", which just debuted last week. The show follows the lives of Los Angeles first responders: cops, paramedics, firefighters and dispatchers.

Switching over to the ABC Network. Fans of "The Bachelor / Bachelorette" franchise will be excited to learn that Nick Viall, who also just appeared on "Dancing with the Star", will be guest-starring on the network's sitcom, "Speechless". And helping to bring up ABC's "Quantico" show numbers will be actor Donald Paul, formerly of "Power" and "Elementary". The New York-based actor is slated to guest star on the thrilling drama from executive producers Josh Safran and Mark Gordon which explores the lives of young government agents as they go through training to become special agents and beyond.

Broadway World spoke exclusively with Donald Paul who happily stated, "I am really excited to start filming scenes for QUANTICO this year. I got absolutely lucky to be on such a great show and in the company of some of the best people in the industry." Nick Viall also took to social media and commented about his role, "To be able to be a part of something you never even dream of is an incredible feeling. I am excited to guest star as Tyson in my first scripted role."

Guest stars are an industry old "trick", and both FOX and ABC are hoping these new 2018 additions will help pull in the higher numbers and spark some new magic... Only time shall tell.
