Dominic Cooper to Replace Cavill in Action Thriller STRATTON

Deadline reports that Dominic Cooper will replace Henry Cavill in the upcoming action-thriller STRATTON, based on the popular series of novels by author Duncan Falconer. Simon West will direct the project, co-starring Austin Stowell.

The actor will portray John Stratton, described as "an operative of the SBS who works with the Intelligence Detachment in Northern Ireland."

Cooper will soon star in the AMC drama pilot Preacher. His other film credits include Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, Dead Man Down, Reasonable Doubt, Need for Speed, November Man, Summer in February, My Week with Marilyn, Captain America: The First Avenger, The Devil's Double, and The History Boys, in which he also appeared on Broadway. He also starred in the film adaptation of the stage musical MAMMA MIA!
