Following the news that Legendary's WORLD OF WARCRAFT film adaptation had been pushed back from December 2015 to March 2016, Variety reports that Ben Foster, Toby Kebbell and Rob Kazinsky have joined the cast, with Dominic Cooper also in talks to star. Duncan Jones, who co-wrote the script with Charles Leavitt, will direct.
Travis Fimmel and Paula Patton have also officially signed on for the film.
Colin Farrell, Paul Dano, Anson Mount and Anton Yelchin were previously mentioned as actors in the mix for roles.
Not much has been revealed about the plot, which is based on Blizzard Entertainment's World of Warcraft game.
Foster recently made his Broadway debut in Orphans opposite Alec Baldwin and Tom Sturridge. He will next star in the upcoming Lance Armstrong biopic from Stephen Frears. His past big screen credits include Ain't Them Bodies Saints, Kill Your Darlings, North of South, West of East, Contraband, 360, The Messenger, 3:10 to Yuma and more. He has also starred in the TV series Six Feet Under and Flash Forward.
Cooper's next projects include Reasonable Doubt, Need for Speed, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Dracula Untold and A Conspiracy on Jekyll Island. Past credits are Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, My Week with Marilyn, Captain America: The First Avenger, An Education, Mamma Mia!, The History Boys -- in which he also starred on Broadway in 2006 -- and more.
