Billboard.com reports that the soundtrack to Disney's hit animated film FROZEN remains at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for a second week, while Beyonce's self-titled album holds steady at No. 2.

The soundtrack, featuring the voices of Broadway's Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad, has sold another 86,000 copies in the week ending January 12, according to Nielsen SoundScan. It was originally believed that this would be the week superstar Beyonce's LP would take over the number one spot, however "Frozen" exceeded projected sales, selling approximately 5,000 to 10,000 more than expected.

Sources credit the continued success of the Disney soundtrack, which had no radio play or special sale pricing, to the huge response to the film currently in theaters. According to Box Office Mojo, "Frozen" has taken in $318 million at the U.S. and Canadian box offices through Jan. 13th and finished at No. 2 at the box office during the weekend ($15.1 million).

Furthermore, the film has been among the top three films every weekend at the box office and is currently the fourth-highest-grossing film released in 2013, behind "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," "Iron Man 3" and "Despicable Me 2."

"Frozen" is also the first theatrical film soundtrack to remain at No. 1 for multiple weeks since 2007's "Dreamgirls" spent two weeks at No. 1. The last animated film to spend more than one week at No. 1 was Disney's "The Lion King," which held the top spot for 10 nonconsecutive weeks in 1994 and 1995.

About Disney's Frozen:

Walt Disney Animation Studios, the studio behind "Tangled" and "Wreck-It Ralph," presents "Frozen," a stunning big-screen comedyadventure. Fearless optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) sets off on an epic journey-teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) and his loyal reindeer Sven-to find her sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter.

Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom.
