Paul Pastor has been promoted to senior Vice president of Strategy and Consumer Analytics for Disney/ABC Television Group; it was announced today by Peter Seymour, executive Vice president and chief financial officer, Disney/ABC Television Group, to whom he will continue to report. In this new role, Pastor adds responsibility for all research activities related to the ABC Television Network, ABC Studios, ABC Family and Disney/ABC Domestic Television.

Additionally, Pastor remains responsible for the development of the DATG's long range business, distribution and product growth strategies, as well as for the execution of customer relationship marketing programs across the division, and oversight of network media planning.

"Over the past five years, Paul has proven to be a great asset to the Disney/ABC Television Group," said Seymour. "In an environment of digital proliferation, big data and rapidly evolving consumer behavior, the worlds of CRM, planning, strategy and research are increasingly interwoven. Paul's profound strategic insight and close working relationship with our research teams and the ABC businesses make this a perfect next step for him and for DATG."

Regarding his new role, Pastor said, "The research teams at ABC, ABC Family and Disney/ABC Domestic Television are the best in the business; and I look forward to the opportunity to more closely involve these teams with the strategy and media planning group to grow and strengthen our businesses across a rapidly evolving and expanding media landscape."

Pastor takes over responsibility for the ABC Television Network, ABC Studios, ABC Family and Disney/ABC Domestic Television research teams from exiting Senior Vice President of Research Charles Kennedy. Kelly Pena, senior Vice president, Research, Disney Channels Worldwide, continues to report to Seymour and remains responsible for strategic, brand, ad sales, programming, audience and marketing research for DATG's portfolio of kids platforms including Disney Channel, Disney XD, Disney Junior and Radio Disney.

Recently, Pastor has played a key role in managing the company's strategic investment in Hulu and the development of digital products including Watch Disney. Additionally, he was a significant contributor to Disney Channels' international expansion efforts, including the company's free-to-air investments in Russia and Spain.

Pastor joined The Walt Disney Company in January 2007 as Director, Business Development for Disney Channels Worldwide. He was promoted to Vice president, Media Networks Strategy in January 2009 and promoted to his most previous role of Vice president of Strategy, CRM and Media Planning in September 2012. Early in his career, he held positions at Accenture, a management consulting firm, and at Technicolor, where he was focused on the expansion of the firm's gaming and animation services businesses into global markets.

Pastor holds a B.A. degree in Economics from the University of Virginia and a MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles' Anderson School of Business.
