Disney XD's KICKIN' IT to Premiere 4/2

Disney XD kicks into high gear with the second season premiere of its hit martial arts-themed comedy series KICKIN' IT on MONDAY, APRIL 2 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney XD. The new season will include a special guest appearance by the Harlem Globetrotters and a skateboard-inspired karate battle between Jack and Kim and a local Seaford skateboarding legend. New episodes of "Kickin' It" will be presented Monday nights on Disney XD and will be showcased via Disney XD on Demand, DisneyXD.com, Disney XD Mobile, Sony Playstation, Xbox Live and iTunes.

In the season premiere, "Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Rudy," Rudy must fight to get his job back at the dojo when Bobby Wasabi replaces him with the Wasabitron 3000, a futuristic robot sensei.

KICKIN' IT has been a record-setting hit for Disney XD since its June 2011 premiere. For 2011, it ranked as Disney XD's #1 series in Total Viewers (873,000), Kids 6-14 (578,000) and Tweens 9-14 (393,000).

The series stars Jason Earles as Rudy, world class martial artist Leo Howard as Jack, Mateo Arias as Jerry, Dylan Riley Snyder as Milton, Alex Christian Jones as Eddie and Olivia Holt as Kim.

KICKIN' IT was created by Jim O'Doherty ("Grounded for Life," "3rd Rock from the Sun") who serves as executive producer with David Bickel ("The King of Queens"). Joey Scott ("Growing Pains") is the producer. The series is produced by It's A Laugh Productions, Inc. and carries a TV-Y7 parental guideline.

Disney XD is a basic cable channel and multi-platform brand showcasing a compelling mix of live-action and animated programming for Kids age 6-14, hyper-targeting boys and their quest for discovery, accomplishment, sports, adventure and humor. Disney XD branded content spans television, online, mobile and VOD platforms. The programming includes series, movies and short-form, as well as sports-themed programming developed with ESPN. Disney XD channels are in the UK, France, Spain, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Poland, Greece, Turkey, Latin America, Japan, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and The Netherlands among other countries.
