The dizzying global spectator sport of professional video gaming is captured in a sitcom, "Gamer's Guide to Pretty Much Everything," starring Cameron Boyce ("Jessie," Disney's "Descendants"), premiering TONIGHT, JULY 22 (9:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney XD.

The multi-camera series chronicles the antics of a 15-year-old professional video game-playing phenom who is forced to enroll in public school for the first time and now must deploy his virtual gaming acumen to circumvent real-life challenges. The series premiere will immediately follow the special one-hour "Lab Rats: Bionic Island" and "Mighty Med" crossover episode. Joseph Garrett, known as Stampy Cat, the hugely popular Minecraft-playing Youtube star, makes a guest appearance in the premiere episode.

The series, which has been picked up for a full season, reflects the unique gaming culture through graphics ("Game Over" and "Achievement Unlocked") and "gamer vision" sequences that depict an alternate reality whenever the characters face a particularly challenging situation.

Cool and charismatic Conor gains notoriety as "KidFury," a professional video game player, but he suffers a devastating thumb injury that forces him out of the glamourous pro gaming world. After years of being tutored on the international pro circuit, he begins high school for the first time and meets three fellow gamers -Franklin, Wendell and Ashley. They team up to form the first-ever gaming league at their school, and together they learn that building lasting friendships in the real world is more important than accumulating high scores in the digital one.

Also starring as Conor's three gamer friends are Murray Rundus as the arrogant but lovable Wendell, Felix Avitia as the gamer-groupie Franklin, and Sophie Reynolds as the quirky and fun Ashley.

The multi-platform schedule is as follows:

WEDNESDAY, JULY 22
Premiere telecast of "Gamer's Guide to Pretty Much Everything" (9:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney XD.
The series premiere episode of "Gamer's Guide to Pretty Much Everything" will also be available to verified users on WATCHDisneyXD.com and THE WATCH Disney XD app for smartphones and tablets immediately after the television premiere.

In the premiere episode, Conor desperately wants to get his pro card back, so he recruits new classmates Franklin, Wendell and Ashley to play the game for him. However, a failed attempt to ditch school early to practice the game lands the foursome in detention with the toughest teacher in the school. The team must find a way to escape detention before the online gaming tournament begins if Conor has any hope of returning to the pro gaming circuit. Stampy Cat makes a cameo in this episode as the announcer for the pro-gaming tournament.

"Gamer's Guide to Pretty Much Everything" was created by Devin Bunje and Nick Stanton ("Zeke & Luther," "Turbo Fast"), who also serve as executive producers. Jim O'Doherty ("Grounded for Life," "3rd Rock from the Sun," "Kickin' It") is executive producing and will serve as showrunner of the series. It's a production of It's A Laugh Productions, Inc. and carries a TV-Y7 parental guideline.
