A second season of "I'm In The Band," a music-filled, live-action comedy series about a teenager who realizes his wildest dream when he joins his favorite "vintage" rock band, has been ordered by Disney XD, it was announced today by Gary Marsh, president, Entertainment, and chief creative officer, Disney Channels Worldwide. Production will resume in June in Hollywood, California.

The new season finds the band inching their way closer to an epic comeback and includes a one-hour special where Tripp joins arch-rival rock band Metal Wolf. Iron Weasel attempts to lure him back during Metal Wolf's performance at the Super Bowl, and by happenstance, ends up stealing the spotlight.

"I'm In The Band's" February 2010 premiere is Disney XD's No. 1 series premiere on record in Total Viewers and Tweens 9-14, and the net's No. 1 live-action series premiere ever across core kid and boy demos: Kids 6-14, Boys 6-14, Kids 6-11, Boys 6-11 and Tween Boys. The multi-camera comedy is from creators Michael B. Kaplan ("Frasier," "Girlfriends") and Ron Rappaport ("Date My Mom") and is executive-produced by Kaplan and Richard Gurman ("Married with Children," "Still Standing").

The series stars Logan Miller as Tripp Campbell, Steve Valentine as Derek Jupiter, Greg Baker as Burger Pitt, Stephen Full as Ash and Caitlyn Taylor Love as Isabella "Izzy" Fuentes.

"I'm In The Band" follows Tripp Campbell as he joins his favorite "vintage" rock band, Iron Weasel, and becomes determined to help the band he idolizes make an epic comeback. He's certainly got his work cut out for him with the trio of rock star misfits whose stars have fallen so far that they can't even afford their own housing and are forced to share bunk beds in a guest room at Tripp's house. Nonetheless, in their own off the wall way, The Three Stooges will do their best to help Tripp steer through his teenage years with the goal of turning him into a bona fide rock star and giving him the chance to live out his dream.

The series is produced by It's A Laugh Productions and carries a TV-Y7 parental guideline.
